Application Process

The application process consists of 2 stages:

 

1️. Stage: 

Payment of Application Fee

  • First, you need to create a user account by entering https://yos.mehmetakif.edu.tr/login.
  • After logging into the system, you need to pay the application fee of 20 USD (from the link above) online.
  •  
  • Once the payment process is completed, the system will automatically redirect you to the application page.
  •  
  • Important Note: The application fee is non-refundable.
  •  

2️. Stage: 

Document Upload and Preference Procedures

  • After paying the fee, you need to create a user again by clicking the “Create a new account” button through the Student Information System.
  •  
  • Then you can upload the necessary documents and complete your preference procedures.
  •  

Documents Required for Online Application

Documents Required for Application to Graduate Programs:

  • Notarized copy of the undergraduate and/or graduate diploma and its Turkish translation
  • Notarized copy of the Undergraduate/Graduate Transcript and its Turkish translation
  • Copy of Passport (Turkish translation) / Identity document (identity-related parts of the passport)
  • TÖMER certificate showing Turkish proficiency level (B2 or C1) (If available)
  • For Doctoral Program candidates, a document showing foreign language proficiency

(Foreign candidates applying for Doctoral programs are required to have scored at least 55/100 from YDS or an equivalent exam in one of the English, German, or French languages. Candidates who do not have any of these documents must meet the required language condition by the end of the course phase.)

 

Important Explanations

  • Officially certified translations of all non-Turkish documents are required.
  •  
  • Foreign students who graduated from a higher education institution in Turkey are not required to meet the Turkish language condition.
